Mentors Wanted in Chicago for Current LGBTQ Students

Apply to the Office of LGBTQ Student Life's Mentoring Program and lend your time and experience to the next generation

The Office of LGBTQ Student Life at the University is searching for alumni mentors to help provide support, guidance and resources to current students who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning. The program is currently seeing a shortage of women, people of color and transgender individuals as mentors, so alumni with these identities are in high demand, but all LGBTQ alumni in the Chicago area may apply.

This is a wonderful way to make a big impact on a current student's life and to give back to the University community.

Mentors are expected to attend a training session and meet with their mentees at least once a month. More information on the program is available here. You can apply to be a mentor here. Any other questions? Please e-mail the Network's Vice-President, Jeremy Glaser, AB'05, at
